Song information

Song name / Sub name / Artist
Shown in the song list inside Beat Saber. The sub name is an optional extra line such as "Remix" or "Radio Edit". If the song name is empty, it is taken from the file name.
Mapper / level author
The name of the person who made the map. Beat Saber shows it under the song as "Level author". Put your own name or nickname here.
Cover image
The square picture shown next to the song in the menu. PNG or JPG, small file. A square image looks best.

Difficulties

Difficulties (checkboxes)
Which levels to create: Easy, Normal, Hard, Expert and Expert+. Each one becomes a separate map inside the same song. Fewer levels means a faster generation and a smaller zip file.
NJS (Note Jump Speed)
How fast the blocks fly toward you. Higher means faster blocks and less time to react. Easy levels use about 10, Expert+ about 18. Raise it for a more intense feel, lower it for a more relaxed one.
NPS (Notes Per Second)
How many blocks appear each second on average, which is the density of the map. Easy is about 1.4 and Expert+ about 6.7. Very high values make the map crowded and hard to play.
Custom label
An optional name for a difficulty in the in-game menu, for example "Beginner" instead of "Easy". Leave it empty to use the normal name.

Look and timing

Environment
The 3D venue and lights around you while you play, for example Default, Triangle, Monstercat or Crab Rave. It only changes the scenery, not the blocks.
Tempo mode
How the song's speed (BPM) is handled. Auto lets the generator decide and is the best choice for most songs. Constant BPM assumes one steady tempo for the whole song, which suits electronic music and songs recorded to a click. Variable BPM follows tempo drift or changes, which suits live recordings and songs that speed up or slow down.

Advanced options

Force BPM
Type the song's tempo yourself if the automatic detection gets it wrong, for example when blocks feel twice as fast or half as fast as the music. Leave it empty to detect it automatically.
Beat tracker tightness
How strictly the beat detector sticks to a steady tempo. A higher value gives a steadier grid and suits songs with a constant beat. A lower value follows the music more freely and suits songs with changing tempo. The default of 150 is a good start.
OGG quality (0-10)
The sound quality of the audio file inside the zip. Higher means better sound and a larger file. 5 is a good balance.
Preview start / Preview duration
The short audio clip that plays when you hover over the song in the menu. Start is the second where the clip begins (empty means automatic), and duration is how many seconds it lasts.
Random seed
The generator uses some randomness when placing blocks. Entering the same number with the same settings should give the same map each time. Leave it empty for a different map every time.
Disable bombs / walls / arcs / lights
Removes that element from the map. Bombs are the black mines you must avoid. Walls are obstacles you must dodge. Arcs are the curved ribbons that connect two blocks. Lights are the light effects in the environment.
Skip percussion separation (faster)
Normally the drums are separated from the rest of the music first so that beats are detected more accurately. Skipping this makes generation faster but beat detection can be a little less precise.
Analyze tempo only
Only detects the song's tempo and does not create a map or a zip file. It is useful to check the BPM before generating.
